This was a fun day for our family. We went up to Pine View Dam for some fun in the sun and water.
Steffanie was a little fish, she would jump into the water to the point we think she drank a couple gallons in the short time we were there. Kieran equally enjoyed splashing around and riding the waves from the boats into the shore. He really wanted to play football and frisbee but it's too hard to entertain two little ones long enough to be able to enjoy something like that. Ryan and I took turns with the girls since Sadie really hated the water. We think it was more because of the temperature than the fact that it was water because she loves taking a warm bath. It really was a great time. I cannot express how funny it was to watch Steff in the water. She was turning blue but she didn't want to get out so she'd swim and swim and we'd have to drag her out so we could warm her up. Kieran really enjoyed himself and said he'd like to go again soon. Sadie was cute, she spent the time playing on our blanket and babbling about the weather...j/k. She was really cute and in spite of her pale skin she didn't get any color, not so much as a little pink. Of course, we a diligent about sunscreen with our kids, there's too high of a risk of skin cancer anymore.
Ryan and I really enjoyed spending time as a family even though we weren't there long. On the way home the girls fell fast alseep and Kieran was quiet and relaxed. Ryan and I spent the drive home in good conversation all the while holding hands. We'll have to do something like this again soon.
